Here are some highlights from this year's studio Holiday Mini Sessions! The set featured neutral tones to compliment any holiday attire, complete with a cozy loveseat and fluffy cream rug. These Mini Sessions were available to book all throughout November, and we extended them through the first week of December as well. We were blown away by the number of clients that signed up; both old and new faces! Thank you all again, and have a wonderful holiday season!
This year we offered a Milk and Cookies mini session just for the kids, in addition to our regular holiday set up. It was fun to see all the kids' cute Christmas jammies, and they had a great time too - because who doesn't love cookies?
Thanks to everyone who came out for these!
Every year we plan outdoor holiday mini sessions, and nearly every time the weather does not cooperate and we end up moving them indoors. So this year, we scheduled our Tree Farm Mini Sessions in October. It worked out great - it was around 60 degrees and sunny that day with no wind at all. We loved this location and can't wait to start planning next year's set up! Thank you to all the families that came out, and also to Salsberry Christmas Trees for letting us use your tree farm!
Lindsay and Mike's fairytale wedding was a perfect blend of old and new traditions. The bride had her something old and something borrowed - jewelry from people in her family who have passed away; something new - hand stitched shoes from India; and something blue - her garter, handmade by her mother; and also her "sixpence" in her shoe. The couple chose to have a First Look before the ceremony, which allowed them private time for portraits together and helped to calm their nerves!
The ceremony took place outdoors at the Toledo Botanical Gardens, on a sunny day in July. The unique ceremony was performed by Lindsay's grandfather, and began with each mother and grandmother pouring water into a tree near the altar. During the ceremony, Lindsay and Mike also added water to the tree as they exchanged vows, along with the traditional ring ceremony.
The reception was held at St Joseph's Middle School in Sylvania. The space was beautifully decorated in the fairytale theme, complete with handmade fairy gardens, keys to find your seats, classic books as centerpieces, and so many more details, all handcrafted by family and friends.
Everything was perfect! Thanks for letting us capture your wedding day, and congrats again to the newlyweds!
Little Adalee arrived 5 weeks early and spent her first few weeks in the NICU. She was still a little peanut at her newborn session, but we're glad she's healthy and at home!
Gorgeous evening light for Tricia and Rob's engagement session! We began at Oak Openings, where he had proposed to her on the bridge at Mallard Lake. Our next stop was Tricia's family's dairy farm. We had an audience for part of our shoot, and then we were lucky enough to find a cornfield that hadn't yet been harvested. Congrats again Tricia and Rob! We can't wait to capture your big day next November!
We had gorgeous fall colors and perfect evening light for this family session! Love how the cool colors in their outfits pop!
Lydia is ONE! We had a fun session - we revisited the Dr. Seuss theme from her 6 month session, and had a colorful, messy cake smash! Happy Birthday Lydia!
