Lindsay and Mike's fairytale wedding was a perfect blend of old and new traditions. The bride had her something old and something borrowed - jewelry from people in her family who have passed away; something new - hand stitched shoes from India; and something blue - her garter, handmade by her mother; and also her "sixpence" in her shoe. The couple chose to have a First Look before the ceremony, which allowed them private time for portraits together and helped to calm their nerves!
The ceremony took place outdoors at the Toledo Botanical Gardens, on a sunny day in July. The unique ceremony was performed by Lindsay's grandfather, and began with each mother and grandmother pouring water into a tree near the altar. During the ceremony, Lindsay and Mike also added water to the tree as they exchanged vows, along with the traditional ring ceremony.
The reception was held at St Joseph's Middle School in Sylvania. The space was beautifully decorated in the fairytale theme, complete with handmade fairy gardens, keys to find your seats, classic books as centerpieces, and so many more details, all handcrafted by family and friends.
Everything was perfect! Thanks for letting us capture your wedding day, and congrats again to the newlyweds!
